And His disciples asked Him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he would be born blind? 9:3 耶穌回答說,不是這人犯了罪,也不是他父母犯了罪,乃是要在他身上顯明神的作為。 Jesus answered, Neither has this man sinned nor his parents, but he was born so, that the works of God might be manifested in him. 9:4 趁著白晝,我們必須作那差我來者的工,黑夜一到,就沒有人能作工了。 We must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; night is coming when no one can work. 9:5 我在世界的時候,是世界的光。 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world. 9:6 祂說了這話,就吐唾沫在地上,用唾沫和泥,抹在瞎子的眼睛上, When He had said this, He spat on the ground and made clay of the spittle and anointed his eyes with the clay, 9:7 對他說,你往西羅亞池子裡去洗。(西羅亞翻出來,就是奉差遣。)他去一洗,回來的時候 ,就看見了。 And He said to him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam (which is interpreted, Sent). He said, I do not know. 9:13 他們就把那從前瞎眼的人帶到法利賽人那裡。 They brought him who was once blind to the Pharisees. 9:14 耶穌和泥開他眼睛的那日是安息日。 Now it was the Sabbath, on which day Jesus made the clay and opened his eyes. 9:15 法利賽人也問他是怎麼得看見的。瞎子對他們說,祂把泥抹在我的眼睛上,我一洗,就看見了。 Again therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he received his sight. And he said to them, He put clay on my eyes, and I washed, and I see. 9:16 法利賽人中有的說,這個人不是從神來的,因為祂不守安息日。又有的說,一個罪人怎能行這 樣的神跡?他們中間就起了分裂。 Then some of the Pharisees said, This man is not from God, because He does not keep the Sabbath. But others said, How can a man who is a sinner do such signs? And there was a division among them. 9:17 他們又對瞎子說,祂既然開了你的眼睛,你說祂是怎樣的人?他說,是個申言者。 Then they said to the blind man again, What do you say about Him, in that He opened your eyes? And he said, He is a prophet. 9:18 猶太人不信他是從前瞎眼,後來得看見的,等到叫了那得看見者的父母來, The Jews then did not believe concerning him that he had been blind and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight 9:19 問他們說,這是你們所說,那生來就瞎眼的兒子麼?現在他怎麼看見了? And asked them, saying, Is this your son, of whom you say that he was born blind? How then does he now see? 9:20 他父母回答說,我們知道他是我們的兒子,生來就是瞎眼的。 Then his parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son and that he was born blind. 9:21 至於他如今怎麼看見了,我們卻不知道,是誰開了他的眼睛,我們也不知道;你們問他吧, 他已經成人,會替自己說話了。 But how he now sees, we do not know; or who opened his eyes, we do not know. Ask him; he is of age; he will speak for himself. 9:22 他父母說這話,是因怕猶太人,因為猶太人已經商議定了,若有承認耶穌是基督的, 要把他趕出會堂。 His parents said these things because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had already agreed that if anyone confessed Him to be the Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue. 9:23 因此他父母說,他已經成人了,你們問他吧。 Because of this his parents said, He is of age; question him. 9:24 所以法利賽人第二次叫了那從前瞎眼的人來,對他說,你當將榮耀歸與神,我們知道這人是個罪人。 Therefore a second time they called the man who had been blind, and said to him, Give glory to God; we know that this man is a sinner. 9:25 那人回答說,祂是個罪人不是,我不知道;有一件事我知道,從前我是瞎眼的,現在看見了。 Then he answered, Whether or not He is a sinner, I do not know; one thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see. 9:26 他們就問他說,祂向你作了什麼?是怎麼開了你的眼睛? They said then to him, What did He do to you? How did He open your eyes? 9:27 他回答說,我已經告訴你們,你們不聽,現在為什麼又想要聽?莫非你們也想要作祂的門徒麼? He answered them, I told you already and you did not hear. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you also want to become His disciples? 9:28 他們就罵他說,你是那人的門徒,我們是摩西的門徒。 And they reviled him and said, You are His disciple; but we are disciples of Moses. 9:29 我們曉得神曾對摩西說過話,只是這個人,我們不曉得祂是那裡的。 We know that God has spoken to Moses, but as for this man, we do not know where He is from. 9:30 那人回答說,祂開了我的眼睛,你們竟不曉得祂是那裡的,這真是奇怪。 The man answered and said to them, Why here is an amazing thing, that you do not know where He is from, and yet He opened my eyes! 9:31 我們曉得神不聽罪人,惟有敬畏神,實行祂旨意的,神才聽他。 We know that God does not hear sinners, but if anyone is God-fearing and does His will, He hears him. 9:32 自古以來,未曾聽過有人把生來瞎眼者的眼睛開了。 Since time began it has never been heard that anyone opened the eyes of one born blind. 9:33 這人若不是從神來的,什麼也不能作。 If this man were not from God, He could do nothing. 9:34 他們回答說,你全然生在罪中,還要教訓我們麼?於是把他趕出去了。 They answered and said to him, You were wholly born in sins, and you are teaching us? And they cast him out. 9:35 耶穌聽說他們把他趕出去,後來遇見他,就說,你信入神的兒子麼? Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and He found him and said, Do you believe into the Son of God? 9:36 他回答說,主啊,誰是神的兒子,叫我信入祂? He answered and said, And who is He, Lord, that I may believe into Him? 9:37 耶穌說,你已經看見祂,這和你說話的就是祂。 Jesus said to him, You have both seen Him, and He is the One speaking with you. 9:38 他說,主啊,我信,就拜耶穌。 And he said, Lord, I believe; and he worshipped Him. 9:39 耶穌說,我為審判到這世上來,叫看不見的可以看見,看得見的反瞎了眼。 And Jesus said, For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may become blind. 9:40 同祂在那裡的法利賽人,有的聽見這話,就說,難道我們也瞎了眼麼? Some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these things and said to Him, We are not blind also, are we? 9:41 耶穌對他們說,你們若瞎了眼,就沒有罪了;但現在你們說,我們看得見,所以你們的罪還存在。 Jesus said to them, If you were blind, you would not have sin; but now that you say, We see; your sin remains.
